SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to your community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is sassa status to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
